Alongside our beautiful flower bouquets, we are proud to offer a wide variety of plants to brighten up your home. This includes house plants such as Dracaena plants, spider plants, and parlour palms, as well as flowering plants like orchids and roses. We also offer a selection of outdoor plants for gardens including olive trees and bay trees.

Plants are definitely a crowd pleaser, and will brighten up your recipient’s home. Plus, they also have benefits for health and wellbeing. They make people happier, reduce stress, and even help to purify the air indoors.

When picking a plant, there are a few things that you can consider to help narrow down your choice. For example, some plants are more high maintenance so aren’t ideal if you often forget to water your plants - for example, areca palms and calathea medallions are trickier to care for, whilst yucca and dracaena plants are better for beginners. If you or your recipient has a pet, you’ll want to pick a plant that isn’t toxic if eaten.

Many of our house plants are perfectly safe for dogs and cats, even if they have a tendency to nibble on the leaves. Roses, orchids, spider plants, Boston ferns, areca palms, and Chamaedorea plants are all great choices for pet owners.

Although different plants do have different care requirements, there are some general guidelines that apply to most plants. For instance, the majority of house plants prefer bright indirect light. The best locations for this are an east facing window, or further away from the window in a room that gets full sunlight such as a south facing window.

For most plants, you should wait until the top layer of soil is dry to the touch before watering it. This is because overwatering can damage the plant just as much as underwatering. Remember to consider the natural environment for your plant as well - tropical plants such as calathea medallions prefer a more humid environment and moister soil, whilst plants from arid places such as Yuccas require less water.
