Sympathy Bouquets from Blossoming Gifts

It's not always easy to find the right words at a sad time. Our Sympathy Flowers will help you send your condolences and show friends or family that they are in your thoughts.

Each Sympathy arrangement uses only the freshest blooms which have been grown and specially selected to create these peaceful and symbolic bouquets. We hope these flower bouquets will bring a small amount of light into a loved one's life during a painful time.

All our Condolence Flowers come with the option to add your own personalised message to be delivered with your gift. Choose from our standard gift card, or a specially designed sympathy card.

If you're struggling with what to write on the sympathy card with your flowers, feel free to use one of the sympathy messages below:

With deepest sympathy

We are so sorry for your loss

Our thoughts are with you

Please accept our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time

Forever in our thoughts

Thinking of you

You could also share a personal memory to remind them of happy times with their loved one, or a quality of theirs that you particularly admired.

All our Sympathy Flower Arrangements have been selected and arranged by our florists to help you send an appropriate and sensitive message. Understated flowers in soft pastels, white and cream are the most traditional flowers to send during a time of loss, so most of our sympathy bouquets feature these colours.

If you are looking for the symbolic meaning behind specific blooms when sending sympathy flowers, please see the information below:

Lilies: Oriental Lilies are commonly linked with funerals and sympathy, and are said to symbolise resurrection and the restored innocence of a departed soul. Lily bouquets send not only a message of sympathy, but also one of hope and new beginnings. White Lilies in particular are a very appropriate choice.

Roses: All roses carry the meaning of love, and are included in many condolence flowers for this reason. White Roses and Cream Roses symbolise purity and hope, and have also come to signify remembrance due to their association with heaven.

Chrysanthemums: In many cultures, chrysanthemums are associated with the loss of a loved one, and will show that you understand their grief.

Carnations: In the language of flowers, pink carnations send the message "I will never forget you" making them an appropriate choice for a sympathy bouquet.

Alternatively, plants such as the peace lily can also be sent to show your respect.

Sending sympathy flowers can help to brighten the hardest of days. For this reason, we offer a number of delivery services to make sure they receive your support and condolences as soon as possible. This includes next day flower delivery across the UK, and same day delivery in London.

We can deliver funeral flowers to a funeral director's office, or to a family member.
