The cold weather is backing off (just!) and your kids are anxious to get out outside in the fresh spring air! Take a look at some fun outdoor activities for the entire family:
1. Make a mud pie
Your little one/s may be too young to use an oven, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get messy and whip up their own mud pie! Just make sure they don’t eat it!
2. Family bike ride
Hop on your bikes and take a nice route down the cycle-path or country lane, even take a picnic for the trip! Don’t forget your helmets!
3. Pick some fruit
Lots of fruit start to bloom during spring such as, strawberries, blueberries and cherries. Grab a basket and go picking!
4. Visit the farm
Take your tots on a trip to the nearest farm, let them see, pet and feed the animals.
5. Build a birdhouse
The birds need a place to live too, what better way to help your little ones build a special house for these beautiful creatures? Once built, you can then keep an eye on what birds visit!
6. Go for a nature walk
Take a walk through the countryside, pack a picnic and an animal & plant identification book, try to identify as many animals and plants as you can along the way!
7. Path art
Get creative outdoors with your little ones, buy some colourful chalk and let them show of their skills on the path.
8. Fly a kite
Head over to your nearest toy store and pick up a kite, you can even get creative and make your own!
9. Sent them on a hunt
Just like an Easter hunt, send your tots on a hunt around the garden. Hide some treats in the garden and watch them hunt!
10. Camp in the garden
Pitch a tent up in the garden, grab some sleeping bags, sweets and their favourite story books!
